Good afternoon everyone!! In the spirit of April Fool's Day I was going to write a long blog about how I've decided to become a college drop out and move in with my boyfriend and end up doing a whole lotta nothin' with my life.......oh wait, SOMEONE TOLD THAT STORY ALREADY!! Haha, I'm just kidding.
Aaaanyway, it's Fashion Week here at Penn so there are a ton of designers, CEO's, and fashion professionals here doing talks and lectures about the industry. The big news? I met the CEO of Urban Outfitters, Glen Senk, after attending a lecture/question & answer session at the Wharton School of Business. His talk was so inspiring to me and made me realize how much I want to end up at Home Office (corporate offices for URBN) after I graduate. During the session I asked him, "I'm an employee of Urban and I'm curious to know how you see the company expanding in the next few years...." I mentioned Terrain and their new bridal concept, BHLDN, and he looked at me the whole time he was answering! He also said, "I thought I recognized you as an employee" which made me very excited! I went up to him afterwards (I waited outside on the street because he was being bombarded by Wharton students) and I caught him by himself as he left. He saw me and stopped to shake my hand and we talked about the company and how much I want to end up at Home Office, and he said it's young people like me who keep the company going.
It was just all truly inspiring to me. My mood wasn't even ruined when we caught three people stealing $400 dollars worth of merchandise and I had to identify them and give a report to the cops! Haha, that was a fun ending to my night. I think this is my longest blog yet! I love you all....don't fall for any tricks today!
Sounds like a wonderful lecture you went to! Funny April fools joke. Good thing you didn't do it!
ReplyDeleteTyler texted Katie and told her he changed his mind about going to Penn State and accepted West Virginia. This after Katie submitted her acceptance to Penn State and sent them money (mine) yesterday. Then he didn't answer her texts for 10 minutes. I thought it was funny.
I love you, and don't forget you can go for free to the Philadelphia Museum on Sunday.
