Spring is in the Air...

Spring is FINALLY here! This is a tree I walk past everyday on my way to work and it smells so amazingly Spring-y! I breathe in so deep every time I pass this tree.

So I'll be heading home tomorrow afternoon to spend Easter with my family--we are having brunch at Marsha Brown's in New Hope, which I'm excited about! Next week is my last week at Urban until the Fall semester starts and I'm a little bummed but mostly excited because I'll be starting my internship fairly soon. I received my Orientation schedule in the mail from them and an invitation to the Annual Burlington Coat Factory Family Picnic.

And for those of you who don't know.....I'll be turning 21 on May 7th!!! Wooooohoooooooo! Haha, I'm going to Atlantic City with my mom to celebrate Marx/Jubb style at the casino's! I really do have fond memories of them since all of my grandparents were always winning something---the flashing lights, the dinging bells, the cigarette smoke lingering in the air...fond memories for me! Lol. We will also be hanging out on the beach and going to the spa--my favorite part of the trip--and I think I can get mom to head over to the Caesar's Palace for my absolute favorite thing....the buffet! It's Been A While!

So it's been a bit between postings and I've just been busy, busy, busy! I went home with Vin this last weekend and mom and dad took us out to dinner to celebrate both of us getting internships. Vin accepted a summer internship in New York City with a start up called OMGPOP. They develop games and apps for Facebook and Apple (or something like that!) Anyway, Vin will be doing statistical analysis programming and he is SO excited to be living in New York over the summer. A lot of our friends will be there over the summer as well, so he has built-in roommates already. As for me, I sent in my signed offer letter and am excited to be starting my internship in a little over a month! I've been debating whether or not I'll live in Philadelphia for the summer or live at home. I think I'm leaning towards living at home because meals are included if I live there! Anyway, I gotta run and meet my lovely boyfriend for lunch! Love you all so much!

Burlington Coat Factory!

So I know you've all heard by now, but I was accepted to a buying internship for the summer of 2011 at Burlington Coat Factory!!! I was so happy they picked me, but they left the phone call until the end of the day (while I was at work) so all I was thinking about was going on my 30 minute break to check my voicemail, and there it was......well sort of. They left a message saying to call them back and I thought, "Oh no, I didn't get it!" Thankfully, I was wrong! I'll write some more later but I have to get my but to the gym since I missed my work out yesterday!

April Fools!!

Good afternoon everyone!! In the spirit of April Fool's Day I was going to write a long blog about how I've decided to become a college drop out and move in with my boyfriend and end up doing a whole lotta nothin' with my life.......oh wait, SOMEONE TOLD THAT STORY ALREADY!! Haha, I'm just kidding.

Aaaanyway, it's Fashion Week here at Penn so there are a ton of designers, CEO's, and fashion professionals here doing talks and lectures about the industry. The big news? I met the CEO of Urban Outfitters, Glen Senk, after attending a lecture/question & answer session at the Wharton School of Business.  His talk was so inspiring to me and made me realize how much I want to end up at Home Office (corporate offices for URBN) after I graduate. During the session I asked him, "I'm an employee of Urban and I'm curious to know how you see the company expanding in the next few years...." I mentioned Terrain and their new bridal concept, BHLDN, and he looked at me the whole time he was answering! He also said, "I thought I recognized you as an employee" which made me very excited! I went up to him afterwards (I waited outside on the street because he was being bombarded by Wharton students) and I caught him by himself as he left. He saw me and stopped to shake my hand and we talked about the company and how much I want to end up at Home Office, and he said it's young people like me who keep the company going.

It was just all truly inspiring to me. My mood wasn't even ruined when we caught three people stealing $400 dollars worth of merchandise and I had to identify them and give a report to the cops! Haha, that was a fun ending to my night. I think this is my longest blog yet! I love you all....don't fall for any tricks today!

Urban Display

So this is a picture of the first display I created BY MYSELF at Urban Outfitters! It's very exciting because I love styling so this was a great opportunity to stretch my legs a bit at work.

What does everyone think??

No work today!

So I wasn't called in for my on-call shift, so I got to work on homework all afternoon! Not much happened, I went to the gym this morning, had mexican food from a food cart for lunch with Vin, and then came home and did work...FUN! Lol, I also read my mom's blog and saw her new studio, I can't wait to see it...it will look great! What's going on with my readers?? Let me  know in the 'Comments' section! Xoxoxo

By the way....this is a website I found on stumbleupon.com, thought it was interesting and wanted to share!
